The integration of IoT and AWS into the sattelite conectivity infrastructure shows Amazon is thinking beyond just competing with Starlink. Building a home platform with multiple wireless layers could be the differntiator that makes LEO practical for mainstream consumers. The FCC documentation revealing actual specs is a refreshing change from the usual vaproware announcements.
I agree. But so far, Amazon has not shown its ability to be an IoT locomotive. IoT technology has seen many attempts at dominance in recent years. But they all eventually fell apart... There are too many factors and risks for forecasts... But really - no one has yet offered such a powerful "glue" for all existing ecosystems. If Amazon really does this - it will greatly push the market and add living space to Amazon LEO.
